Job Summary:

The Finance Supervisor is a key member of our project team, responsible for providing financial guidance and support to project management. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and present findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project financial reviews, utilizing historical and trending data to validate forecasts and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Support operations teams with decision-making by identifying, quantifying, and communicating financial risks and opportunities.
  • Manage employee performance, providing coaching and feedback to ensure high-quality results.
  • Prepare client invoicing, manage accounts receivable, and review project cash flow projections on a monthly basis.
  • Review and understand prime contracts and change orders, including insurance, taxes, payment terms, and labor laws.
  • Implement proper internal controls and act as the main point of contact for internal or external financial audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote positive change within the organization.
  • Earn trust and credibility with operations teams to create better cohesion and clear communication.
  • Show a willingness to learn and understand field operations to better communicate financial reports and data.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of financial/data analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Basic working knowledge of accounting, including general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key functions.
  • Knowledge of complex ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) for financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI) for presenting complex financial analyses.
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high-quality results.
  • Ability to freely access all parts of a construction site.
  • Travel and/or relocate as needed.
