We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Bethany Sylvan Lake. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Resident-Centered Care: Provide individualized care to residents, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs, while maintaining their privacy and dignity.
- Documentation: Accurately document and report resident care and observations to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, ensuring timely and comprehensive records.
- Safety: Contribute to a safe environment by adhering to safety guidelines, practices, and policies, and demonstrating knowledge of emergency preparedness and response procedures.
- Pro-active Learner: Embody the values of Bethany and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Team Work: Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and change resident care needs.
- Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate
- Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Demonstrated ability to understand, speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
