KOOTENAY TAMIL KITCHEN is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of complete meals and individual dishes, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

About This Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. They should possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, optimizing resources and reducing waste.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Staff Recruitment: Recruit and hire staff, contributing to the growth and development of our team.
