Pipe Layer/Operator

Hazelwood Construction is seeking a skilled Pipe Layer/Operator to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for laying pipes, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lay pipes and perform excavation work in a safe and efficient manner
- Operate heavy equipment, including rock trucks, front-end loaders, and excavators
- Perform site preparation and compaction work
- Ensure all work is completed to regulated organizational, provincial, and federal standards
- 3+ years of experience in a related position
- Previous civil experience is considered an asset
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to operate required equipment safely and responsibly
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Active listening skills
- Ability to work as a team and with little supervision
- Ability to take and follow instructions
- Professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with the public
- Competitive hourly rate: $34-$37.76 per hour, depending on experience and education
- Vacation pay: 13% of your hourly wage
- Benefits eligibility: After completing 250 hours
- Pension contributions: $4.80 per hour worked
