Job Summary

CanaDream Corporation is seeking a seasoned Director of People and Culture to lead the HR function for our US and Canadian businesses. This is a key role that will drive strategic initiatives, foster a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's global business objectives
  • Lead the HR team in recruitment, onboarding, retention, training, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian provincial and US state-specific legislative frameworks
  • Manage Dayforce HRIS application in Canada and the US
  • Develop and coordinate training programs for leaders and crew members
  • Support the development and implementation of global and US & Canadian cultural capability programs
  • Participate in the development and lead US & Canadian implementation of a framework to foster inclusion and diversity

Requirements:

  • Degree in business with a major in Human Resources or related field
  • PHR or SHM-CP certification is desirable
  • Significant experience in a related industry with a focus on operations and customer service
  • Solid understanding of all areas of the HR compliance environment in Canadian provinces and territories, California, and the wider US
  • Extensive knowledge of, and experience managing, employee benefit programs with significant experience in US benefit programs
  • Experience implementing and utilizing DayForce payroll and HRIS systems efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive, productive working relationships with leadership and crew members
  • Ability to speak and write in French would be an asset
  • High level proficiency in communicating (verbal and written) in Spanish is required
  • Ability to travel to the US and internationally to global HR meetings
  • At least 3 years' experience leading the HR function/team in a geographically diverse organization
