Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, ON. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and directing multi-discipline engineering/drafting teams to produce high-quality outputs that meet project requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Manage and direct a team of engineers and drafters to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement design standards and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Contribute to the development of business proposals and marketing materials.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve design and engineering practices.
- Qualification in Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years post-graduate experience in Mineral Processing or Metallurgical plant design.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills, with the ability to apply this knowledge to complex design and engineering problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
