Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, ON. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and directing multi-discipline engineering/drafting teams to produce high-quality outputs that meet project requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Manage and direct engineering teams to achieve project goals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement design standards and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate design risks, ensuring project delivery on time and within budget.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams, ensuring that design solutions meet project requirements and are delivered to the highest standard.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying knowledge and expertise to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
- Qualification in Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years post-graduate experience in Mineral Processing or Metallurgical plant design.
- Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
