Join Our Bakery Team at Otter Co-op

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bakery Associate to join our team at Otter Co-op. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and improvement of recipes, measuring and combining ingredients, and safely using mixers, blenders, and other equipment to create a variety of baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in designing and improving recipes to meet customer demands and preferences
  • Measure and combine ingredients accurately to ensure high-quality products
  • Operate mixers, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
  • Decorate and display finished products to meet visual standards
  • Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food products
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making recommendations
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, inventory, and production levels
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Follow opening and closing procedures
Requirements:
  • Previous baking experience preferred
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset
  • Food safe certification an asset
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to a safe working environment
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
