Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is a key position within our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of quality, safety, and maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily production activities to meet OEE quality/availability/performance and safety standards
- Identify and address root causes of performance gaps, ensuring timely resolution
- Maintain 5-S standards and measures within the department, promoting a culture of efficiency and productivity
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss current OEE, product, quality, and safety information
- Initiate employee counseling and disciplinary action as needed
- Maintain close communication and coordination with other production departments and shifts to ensure priorities are met
- Ensure training requirements for each departmental employee are identified and plans are in place to close gaps
- Perform annual performance evaluations for each departmental employee
- Support business systems goals, ensuring all applicable requirements are met
- Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Superior organizational and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the occupational health and safety act
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a team lead role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
