Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production department. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities- Work with scheduling and production management to set daily production priorities.
- Ensure that established OEE quality/availability/performance and safety standards are communicated and achieved within the department.
- Identify and address any issues that may impact production or safety.
- Maintain 5-S standards and measures within the department.
- Conduct team meetings to discuss current OEE, product, quality, and safety information.
- Initiate employee counseling and disciplinary action as needed.
- Maintain close communication and coordination with other production departments and shifts to ensure priorities are met.
- Ensure that training requirements for each departmental employee are identified and plans are in place to close gaps.
- Perform a minimum of one yearly performance evaluation for each departmental employee.
- Provide support for business systems goals, ensuring that all applicable requirements are met.
- Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent is an asset.
- Superior organizational and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of the occupational health and safety act.
- A minimum of three (3) years, preferably in a team lead role, is desirable.
