About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our team at Lake Country Co-op. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of gas bar clerks and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a culture of safety and operational efficiency
  • Assist with managing the development and direction of team members
  • Oversee sales, margins, expenses, inventory, and sales for the department
  • Provide training to gas bar clerks on store duties and opening/closing procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Lake Country Co-op policies and government regulations
  • Complete daily reports and reconciliations
  • Support Asset Protection and Safety Management systems
  • Perform minor repairs to assets as required
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of retail sales experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Results-oriented and committed to excellence
  • Experience with C-Store/Gas Bar operations and general merchandise items
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Point of Sale experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid Class 5 license and reliable vehicle for daily trips
