We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality custom wood furniture, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Maker to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Furniture Maker will be responsible for creating custom wood furniture pieces, from design to completion. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a secondary school graduation certificate and at least 7 months of experience in woodworking.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Creation: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, and create custom wood furniture pieces that meet our high standards.
- Assembly and Finishing: Trim joints, fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, and reinforce joints. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products as needed.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials for custom wood furniture projects, and plan and coordinate production to meet deadlines.
