We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for children aged 5-12 in our Before and After School Program.
About the Role:
- You will work collaboratively with our team to create a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
- You will design and deliver activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development in children.
- You will provide individual support to children as needed and contribute to the development of care plans.
- You will work effectively within a staff team to provide an inclusive environment of support, strategies, and resources for children with diverse needs.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Experience working with children aged 5-12.
- Emergency First Aid and CRC – C & AED certification.
- 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance, and/or Nutrition an asset.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly rate of $21.00.
- A permanent, part-time position with 27.5 hours per week.
- A split shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00am-8:30am and 2:00pm-6:00pm.
