Chief Development Officer / Executive Director Operations

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Development Officer / Executive Director of Operations to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project development, including financial management, team development, and operational components of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing Employee Performance: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure employee performance and track progress.
  • Providing Guidance to Managers: Lead by example and set the tone for the company's management style, working closely with department managers to help them manage and motivate their teams.
  • Maintaining Financial Budget: Establish the company's budget based on the business strategy and long-term goals, overseeing the finances of the entire organization.
  • Project Delivery Through Completion: Responsible for delivering projects through completion, with interface with the CEO at the early concept and priority setting level.
  • Implementing the Business Strategy: Develop a structure for daily operations, setting specific goals for each division or department, developing new positions, and restructuring departments.
  • Recommendations to the CEO: Relay information to the CEO, including specific recommendations on how to implement the business strategy and achieve the company's long-term goals.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of recent related experience in progressively more complex and senior management/leadership roles in a related role and company.
  • 5+ years' recent, relevant experience responsible for managing large mixed-use real estate developments, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Direct experience successfully achieving planning approvals within Metro Vancouver is an asset.
  • Direct experience with all stages of development delivery from acquisition through to construction completion.
  • Strong experience with project financials – budgets, cash flows, proformas.
  • Related professional education and/or designation – Master of Real Estate, Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, etc.
