Human Resources Generalist Job Description

Agilus is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Gibbons, Alberta. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of services, including compensation management, policy administration, and employee relations support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performance Management: Manage and supervise complex performance management issues, including corrective behavior consultation and terminations, and be a focal point for workplace investigations.
  • Change Management: Support change management initiatives and create and facilitate HR training programs, such as Respectful Workplace, Supervision Training, and Code of Conduct.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as assigned, including presentations to staff, performance management support, and assistance with staff planning activities.
  • HR Team Support: Support other members of the HR team in backup capacities.
  • Compensation Management: Manage all compensation requirements, including coordination of the annual merit and incentive programs, benchmarking, and preparation of merit recommendations.
  • Total Compensation Analysis: Apply a wide range of total compensation analysis and advice to the design and delivery of compensation programs, policies, and services for salaried and hourly work groups.
Requirements:
  • Commitment to Safety: Understand, create, and maintain a visible commitment to process and personal safety, as well as the safety of others.
  • HR Experience: Minimum of eight years of human resources work experience in a generalist function.
  • Education: A university degree in Business/Commerce or Human Resources is preferred.
  • Professional Development: Must be committed to continuous professional development with a passion for learning.
  • Team Player: Must be a team player, willing to continuously and proactively collaborate, share, and seek information and guidance.
