Chief Risk Officer

Fidelity Clearing Canada is seeking a seasoned Chief Risk Officer to lead our risk management function and ensure the organization's continued growth and success.
About the RoleThe Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying and monitoring regulatory obligations and risks, providing strategic direction and vision for the Risk function, and overseeing the development of the risk management framework, policies, and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the strategic oversight of Fidelity Clearing Canada's Risk Framework to ensure continual development, communication, and success of the Risk Management program.
- Manage significant risk issues/events, including assessment, root cause analysis, communication, and review and validation of remediation actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop regular reporting and formally present to Senior Management, the Risk and Controls Committee, and the Audit Committee of the Board on the status of Fidelity Clearing Canada's Risk Programs.
- Lead or participate in cross-Fidelity projects, ensuring operational risks are properly assessed.
- Ensure new risk programs/initiatives and changes to existing programs are communicated effectively across the organization and that appropriate training is provided where required.
- University degree or equivalent work experience.
- ~10+ years of experience in risk management and risk programs.
- ~Prior experience in a compliance and back-office operations role.
- ~Professional designation or certificate in risk management or internal control.
- ~CA designation is considered an asset.
