Job Title: Chief Risk Officer

Fidelity Clearing Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Risk Officer to lead our risk management function. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying and monitoring regulatory obligations and risks, and providing strategic direction and vision for the Risk function across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and continually develop the Fidelity Clearing Canada risk management framework, related policies and processes, ensuring they meet business and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead the strategic oversight of Fidelity Clearing Canada's Risk Framework to ensure continual development, communication and success of Fidelity Clearing Canada's Risk Management program.
  • Lead the management of significant risk issues/events including assessment, root cause analysis, communication, and review and validation of remediation actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop regular reporting and formally present to each of Senior Management, the Risk and Controls Committee and the Audit Committee of the Board on the status of Fidelity Clearing Canada's Risk Programs.
  • Lead or participate in cross Fidelity projects, ensuring operational risks are properly assessed.
  • Ensure new risk programs/initiatives and changes to existing programs are communicated effectively across the organization and that appropriate training is provided where required.
  • Offer risk consultation services as required.
Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent work experience
  • ~10+ years of experience in risk management and risk programs
  • ~ Prior experience in a compliance and back-office operations role
  • ~Professional designation or certificate in risk management or internal control
  • ~ CA designation is considered an asset
