About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Category Planner to join our team at RONA Inc. As a key member of our merchandising planning team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the deployment of merchandising strategies across all RONA banners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans for category reviews, ensuring timely and effective execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate project information, including product data and market trends
  • Establish and manage project milestones, ensuring alignment with business objectives and go-to-market strategies
  • Work closely with support teams to ensure accurate project timelines and resource allocation
  • Lead weekly cross-functional meetings to track project progress and address any issues or concerns
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards
  • Identify and escalate project risks, working with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans and ensure project success
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and open communication
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or supply chain management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, process development, or retail planning
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities and deadlines
