Job Title: Merchandising Category Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Category Planner to join our team at RONA inc. in Boucherville, Quebec.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating the various stages leading to the deployment of a merchandising strategy for all RONA banners. This includes building project plans, collecting and validating information, establishing milestones, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build project plans for each division
  • Collect, validate, and structure information for project schedules
  • Establish milestones with the go-to-market team
  • Consult with support teams to determine project duration
  • Prepare agendas and lead cross-functional meetings
  • Update project schedules and raise stakes as necessary
  • Participate in action plan development with support teams
  • Deal with raised problems and initiate meetings with stakeholders
Requirements:
  • University degree in a relevant discipline
  • More than three years of experience in project management, process development, or retail planning
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to support multiple teams
