Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Installation Specialist to join our team at Ham Building Supplies Ltd. This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, with the opportunity for career growth and development.

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing roofing systems, repairing or replacing damaged sections, and applying waterproof coatings under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Roofing System Installation: Install built-up roofing systems and various types of roofing tiles, ensuring a high-quality finish and meeting client expectations.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements, estimating costs and materials needed for each project.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to meet client demands.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair and replace single-ply roofing systems and metal roofs, as well as install sheet metal flashings, to ensure the longevity of our clients' properties.

Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work in fast-paced environments with varying locations and work conditions, including heights, outdoors, and noisy settings.

Requirements:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required; a degree or certification in a related field is an asset.
  • 1-2 years of experience in roofing installation, repair, or maintenance is necessary for this position.
