Job Title: Roofer

Ham building supplies ltd is seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofing systems on various buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
  • Repair roofing systems
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
  • Install sheet metal flashings
  • Estimate costs and materials
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 40 hours per week
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions, and outdoors. You will also be required to work in various locations and estimate costs and materials.
