Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our team. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosing diseases, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to patients, including routine check-ups, health assessments, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and other physicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Medical degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Experience in a community health setting, preferably working with marginalized populations.
- Knowledge and skills in areas such as pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
