We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Child Care Assistant at A CHILD'S STORY – TERWILLEGAR DAY CARE. As a Child Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our daycare and ensuring the well-being and development of our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Early Childhood Educators: Collaborate with our experienced educators to implement programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage Children in Activities: Plan and lead engaging activities, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts, to stimulate children's creativity and curiosity.
  • Prepare Meals and Environments: Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms or furniture to create a safe and welcoming environment for children during lunch and rest periods.
  • Document Children's Progress: Submit written observations on children's development and progress to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in Staff Meetings: Attend regular staff meetings to discuss children's progress, share ideas, and address any concerns or challenges.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
