A CHILD’S STORY – TERWILLEGAR DAY CARE is seeking a Child Care Worker Assistant to join our team. As an Assistant, you will support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs for children
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing songs and preparing crafts
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Attention to detail

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
