About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities Team at Accusonic Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and perform other routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Demands: The position requires physical stamina, as the job involves lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Work Conditions: The position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision.
