At Construction & More Corp., we are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman/Woman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects, supervising workers, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare production and other reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Supervise and train electrical workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks safely and effectively.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines and ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems.
  • Recruit and hire electrical workers and carry out related staffing actions to ensure the right people are in the right roles.
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure electrical workers have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks safely and effectively.
  • Prepare bids and estimates to secure new electrical projects and ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Manage the electrical department, including overseeing budgets, resources, and personnel.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan electrical systems.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Read blueprints and electrical schematics to understand project requirements and ensure accurate installation.
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure the right people are in the right roles.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units to ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in electrical work, including supervisory experience.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage electrical workers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines to ensure project completion.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines.
  • Manual dexterity to perform electrical work safely and effectively.
  • Overtime required to meet project deadlines and ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems.
  • Physically demanding work environment with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Reliability and flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage electrical workers and stakeholders.
