About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated District Teacher - Integration Support to join our team at School District #35. This is a full-time, permanent position that will play a critical role in enhancing educational practices and supporting student success across the district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide certification in trauma-informed practices and crisis training to support student well-being and safety.
  • Consult with schools and district staff to develop student-specific plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with provincial outreach programs and community agencies to provide support and resources to students and families.
  • Respond to emergent safety situations and provide crisis support as needed.
  • Assist schools with transitions for students and provide support to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Attend school-based team meetings and provide expertise and guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with district staff, including occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive support to students.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education (Elementary/Middle/Secondary) degree or equivalent training.
  • Two years of successful teaching experience in the regular classroom.
  • A valid Teacher Regulation Branch Certificate or in progress.
  • Ability to philosophically and pedagogically meet the needs of a broad range of students.
  • Demonstrated ability in effective communication and collaborative/consultative skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $104,000, based on length of service and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
