Supervisor, Respite and Leisure Services

The Supervisor, Respite and Leisure Services is a key position within our organization, responsible for the day-to-day operation of seasonal and recreational supports. This role requires strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to ensure high-quality support is provided while maintaining compliance with regional and provincial laws.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong leadership and coaching to team members
- Collaborate effectively with staff and external stakeholders
- Meet organizational expectations for quality assurance and outcome achievement
- Ensure support maximizes independence through natural supports and community networks
- Oversee day-to-day operation of seasonal programs and recreational initiatives
- Identify recruitment needs and assist with hiring of support staff
- Schedule and manage staff hours of work
- Develop and implement strategies for staff development and growth
- Resolve conflicts and build trust within the team
- Developmental Services Worker Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of full-time relevant work experience in a human service organization
- Demonstrated ability to apply leadership, coaching, and supervisory principles
- Knowledge of Centre for Quality & Excellence (CQL) values and approach
- Current valid certificates in First Aid/CPR
- Valid Ontario Driver's license and insurance
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
