About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Hakka Fresh. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet customer demand.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer preferences.
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling to ensure high-quality dishes.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively train staff and communicate with customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work under pressure.
