We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Editor to join our team at Lifemark in Mississauga, Ontario. As a Medical Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical reports.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proofread reports for continuity, consistency, accuracy, spelling, grammar, and compliance with current regulations.
  • Correct errors identified within reports and tracking systems, ensuring accurate working records.
  • Identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in medical assessments and provide timely feedback to assessors.
  • Collaborate with assessors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to assessors on quality assurance procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure reports are sent to clients on time and follow up on assigned reports in a timely manner.
  • Follow QA protocols for releasing and saving reports.
  • Offer exceptional customer service when responding to queries and explaining report discrepancies.
  • Identify issues impacting service standards and rectify or escalate them.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the medical or insurance industry.
  • Recognized Medical Terminology course completion.
  • Action-oriented, highly organized, results-oriented, independent problem solver with demonstrated clinical, medical legal assessment, and/or adjudication experience.
  • Detailed familiarity with current and prior auto insurance legislation, arbitration, and associated legal decisions.
  • Solid command of the English language and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Flexible and team-oriented with CAT Certification or strong knowledge of the AMA Guides 4th and 6th editions an asset.
What We Offer

Lifemark offers a competitive salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for growth and professional development.
