Job Title: Quality Assurance Editor

At Lifemark, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Editor to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Editor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our medical reports.



Main Responsibilities:


  • Proof-reads Accident Benefits reports for continuity, consistency, accuracy, spelling, grammar, and compliance with the SABS, AMA Guides, and current regulations.
  • Corrects any errors that are identified, both within the reports and within tracking systems and documentation to ensure accurate working records for the staff.
  • Identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in medical assessments and provide timely feedback to assessors for correction.
  • Collaborate with assessors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to assessors on quality assurance procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure reports are sent to the client on time.
  • Ensure the timely follow-up and tracking of all assigned reports.
  • Follow QA protocols for releasing and saving reports.
  • Offer exceptional customer service when responding to queries and/or explaining report discrepancies.
  • Identify issues that will impact on service standards and rectify or escalate those issues.


Required Qualifications:


  • Medical, law, insurance, or technical writing background.
  • Action-oriented, highly organized, results-oriented, independent problem solver with demonstrated clinical, medical legal assessment, and/or adjudication experience.
  • Detailed familiarity with the current and prior auto insurance legislation, arbitration, and associated legal decisions.
  • Solid command of the English language and demonstrated excellent communication skills both verbally and in written format.
  • Has working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel and the ability to learn and navigate new systems.
  • Flexible and team-oriented. CAT Certification or strong working knowledge of the AMA Guides 4th and 6th editions is an asset.
  • French/English fluency is strongly preferred.
