Dental Assistant Job Description
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our team at Calgary Dental Group. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Assist the dentist during procedures, preparing instruments and taking x-rays as needed
* Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide them with a positive experience
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure the smooth flow of the dental office
* Perform clerical duties such as preparing invoices, processing payments, and scheduling patient appointments
* May perform intra-oral duties such as removing sutures, taking and recording vital signs, and applying desensitizing agents
**Requirements:**
* Dental assisting certification in Alberta
* Proficiency in ClearDent preferred but willing to train the right candidate
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
**What We Offer:**
* Competitive hourly rate of $20.00-$30.00
* Full-time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week
* On-site parking and dental care benefits
**Certification:**
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification is required for this position.
**Work Location:**
In-person work at our Calgary Dental Group office.
