Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Senior Manager to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our Risk Advisory Services team, you will be responsible for leading and executing high-impact risk engagements across our portfolio of entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Risk Management Frameworks: Lead the development of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, identifying and helping the business respond to emerging trends, managing relationships with senior leaders.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to understand challenges and propose solutions.
  • Lead Risk Management Activities: Lead ERM activities by collaborating with business teams to analyze, communicate, and evaluate significant business issues.
  • Present Risk Insights: Work directly with key stakeholders to produce and present highly visual presentations capturing current and emerging risks.
  • Develop Reporting Materials: Develop and present creative reporting material for Audit, Management, Risk, and Compliance Committees.
  • Maintain Risk Monitoring Protocols: Maintain monitoring protocols to evaluate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Initiate and Lead Initiatives: Initiate and lead initiatives to enhance service delivery quality.
  • Collaborate with RAS Team: Collaborate with the Risk Advisory Services team to align and execute risk and compliance activities.
  • Proactively Identify Opportunities: Proactively raise ideas where data-driven initiatives may add value.
  • Lead and Develop Teams: Lead, coach, and build teams by developing staff and overseeing performance evaluations.
Requirements and Competencies
  • 6+ years of experience in business operations (e.g., sales, marketing, finance).
  • 2+ years in a supervisory capacity.
  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, PMP, or similar designation is a strong asset.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of risk management theory.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present effectively.
  • Enthusiastic learner with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong work ethic and focus on delivering results.
