Job Summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to join our Fort McMurray Maintenance Division. As a key member of our team, you will oversee and assist with the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign tasks to fleet maintenance staff and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Oversee production deliverables and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Perform repairs on mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Participate in GFL's safety program and ensure compliance with all safety standards and policies.
  • Assist in training employees and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Grow and develop the fleet-based maintenance program.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Certification.
  • Experience with the CVIP Motor Vehicle Inspection Program.
  • CVIP certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities on a wide range of machinery and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
