We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Bookkeeper, Property Accountant to join our team at Mackay Development Inc in our Montreal office.

**Key Qualifications:**

  • The ideal candidate should be bilingual (French & English), exceptionally organized, and have proven capabilities in multi-tasking and prioritizing workloads.
  • The ideal candidate must be well-versed in technology and have a strong understanding of financial software.
  • Training is offered, however, the candidate must be willing and able to learn easily.
  • Knowledge of specific residential property management software like Proprio Expert, Hopem, Primo Residential or Yardi (Breeze or Voyager) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of other software like Sage or Quickbooks is also an asset.

**Main Responsibilities:**

  • Work with all sets of books, including revenue, payables, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure rent roll is accurate and that billings are being made promptly.
  • Perform data entry and ensure notices are being sent and followed up with tenants.
  • Be adept with new IT introductions and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Work with the controller, CPA, tax, property manager(s), and fellow staff to ensure the smooth operation of the company.
