Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing roads and other infrastructure assets, ensuring they are safe and functional for the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair roads, highways, and other infrastructure assets, including bridges, tunnels, and signs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting roads, and repairing potholes and other damage.
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as trucks and excavators, to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Work at heights, using bucket trucks, scaffolding, and ladders to access and repair infrastructure assets.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that maintenance and repair tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure that infrastructure assets are properly maintained and repaired.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance and repair needs.
  • Communicate with supervisors and other teams to ensure that maintenance and repair tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of infrastructure maintenance and repair techniques and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to traffic and outdoor weather conditions. The employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
