Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating complex case management plans for employees with work-related injuries or illnesses. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive case management plans to support employees' return to work
- Provide disability management expertise and consultation to employees and managers
- Ensure compliance with legislation, collective agreements, and administrative regulations
- Act as the primary contact with case managers, rehabilitation specialists, and other representatives of WorksafeBC
- Investigate and report workplace accidents and coordinate claims management and rehabilitation services
- Effectively communicate with employees, managers, and external contacts to build trust and credibility
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Human Resources and Payroll Services division
- Act as a resource to departments and committees on health, safety, attendance, and wellness issues
- Manage and report on key metrics
The successful candidate will possess a degree or diploma in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, with a focus on Disability Management, Human Resources, and OH&S. A minimum of 3 years of progressively more responsible Disability Management experience is required, preferably in a complex, multi-union environment. Advanced knowledge of case management principles, relevant legislation, and best practices is essential.
