Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Chevron Town Pantry. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, managing a team of sales associates, and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Store Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the store, including managing inventory, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Team Management: Manage a team of sales associates, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance.
- Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service, including responding to customer complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Merchandising: Plan and implement visual merchandising displays and ensure that the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Financial Management: Manage the store's finances, including processing transactions, managing cash handling, and maintaining accurate records.
- Inventory Management: Manage the store's inventory, including ordering merchandise, tracking inventory levels, and minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
- Loss Prevention: Implement and maintain loss prevention measures, including monitoring for shoplifting and theft.
- Compliance: Ensure that the store is in compliance with all laws and regulations, including health and safety regulations and employment standards.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of retail management experience.
- Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Support for Persons with Disabilities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities, offer mentorship and coaching opportunities, and provide awareness training to employees.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, assist with immediate settlement needs, and support social and labour market integration.
- Support for Youth: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offer on-the-job training, and provide mentorship and coaching opportunities.
- Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offer mentorship and coaching opportunities, and provide cultural competency training.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities, offer mentorship programs, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training.
