Job Summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nursing Program Instructor to join our team. As a Critical Care Nursing Program Instructor, you will be responsible for facilitating program delivery, coordinating clinical experiences, and revising curriculum as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate program delivery by providing tutorial assistance, psychomotor skills labs, and seminars in designated areas.
  • Coordinate and support clinical experiences and revise curriculum as needed.
  • Manage the learning environment and provide student support and counseling to facilitate student success.
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress and provide feedback.
  • Facilitate effective and efficient program administration and maintenance, monitoring program effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external partnerships.
  • Travel may be required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • A degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eligible for registration (active status) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
  • Two years recent and relevant nursing experience in adult critical care.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the area of adult education, with the ability to apply theory, practices, and principles of adult education.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in distance education and interactive media software, incorporating web technologies into curriculum.
  • Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling, and teaching interaction skills.
  • Ability to arrange, maintain, and evaluate resources.
  • Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software, and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
  • Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective instructional ability.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.
