About the Opportunity

WSP Canada is seeking a talented Building Sciences Consultant to join our Thornhill team. As a key member of our Building Sciences team, you will contribute to delivering exceptional consulting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field reviews of building envelope elements on new construction projects to ensure compliance with design intent and Ontario Building Code requirements.
  • Complete field and office reporting related to the Registrar Bulletin 19 (RB19) Program.
  • Assist senior engineers with preparing proposals, reports, investigations, and other duties associated with the role.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve site issues impacting project quality.
  • Ensure health and safety policies are followed at all sites.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Science, Architectural Science, Applied Science, or a construction-related discipline.
  • Previous co-op/summer work experience in the construction or engineering industry is strongly desired.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the Tarion Registrar Bulletin 19 Program is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings is an asset.
