We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Church Custodian to join our team at Gospel of Fire Ministries. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our church premises.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse; empty trash cans and other waste containers.
- Facilities Management: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment; perform minor repairs on appliances; perform safety and security checks.
- Specialized Tasks: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas; prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Work Environment: All weather conditions.
- Work Setting: Urban area, religious organization, church.
- Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Permanent Employment: A stable and secure work environment.
- Green Job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
- Language: English.
- Hours of Work: 35 to 40 hours per week.
