Job DescriptionThis is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week or more in the office. As a Digital Law Expert, you will provide legal advice and representation in support of software licensing, outsourcing, and other third-party vendor agreements. You will also perform legal support services on general technology-related matters, such as policies & procedures, third-party risk management, internal training/seminars, and internal working groups.
- Provides legal advice and representation in support of (i) software licensing, outsourcing and other third party vendor agreements, and (ii) sourcing, vendor management and technology-related matters.
- Performs legal support services on general technology-related matters, such as those relating to policies & procedures, third-party risk management, internal training/seminars and internal working groups.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Typically, 3-7 years of legal practice with a technology focus or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Degree in law (LLB or JD) and license to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
- Private practice, in-house experience or experience at regulatory body relating to the regulation of business/group activities may be required.
- Knowledge in legal field, typically with a functional or business line specialization.
- Knowledge of business and regulatory environment in which BMO Financial Group operates.
