Aircraft Avionics Maintenance Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Avionics Maintenance Lead to join our team at Heavy Aero Maintenance Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of aviation professionals in the maintenance and repair of avionics systems on a variety of aircraft types.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform avionics maintenance and repairs on aircraft electrical and electronic systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
- Lead a team of aviation professionals in the maintenance and repair of avionics systems, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard, meeting regulatory requirements and company procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all necessary maintenance is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in a recognized Aircraft Maintenance/Avionics Engineer program.
- Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer 'E' License.
- 1-3 years of experience working as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in Avionics.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of avionics systems and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

- Work involves exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and noise.
- Work involves physical risks such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, wearing a respirator, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting, working from heights, and confined spaces.

Benefits:

- Competitive hourly rate: $32.70-$55.00 per hour.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including dental care, disability insurance, extended health care, on-site parking, paid time off, and vision care.

Schedule:

- 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the demands of the job.

Education and Experience:

- AEC/DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred).
- Avionics experience: 2 years (required).

Licence/Certification:

- AME License (E) (required).

Work Location:

- In-person work required.
