Marketing Associate - Brand Strategy

Join Maple Leaf Foods, a leading Canadian food company, as a Marketing Associate - Brand Strategy. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced Marketing leader to develop and execute category strategies that drive growth and differentiation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build category strategies and work with senior leadership to develop multi-year plans to deliver category growth and successfully differentiate MLF from competitors.
  • Consistently leverage data and develop insights from Nielsen and internal data sources to provide category share and financial reporting and analysis.
  • Analyze brands, market, and competitive trends and recommend suitable actions to support the Retail Sales and Brand teams in growing MLF branded share in their category.
  • Lead the commercialization of new product innovations, acting as project manager and working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful, on-time launches.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business or Marketing.
  • 1-3 years previous experience in marketing, sales, advertising, finance, category management or analytics roles within consumer packaged goods or grocery industry.
  • Analytics & Critical Thinking: ability to organize and interpret data, synthesize insights and consider implications to the business.
  • Ability to lead by influence: well-developed people, communications, and collaboration skills, ability to effectively engage a cross-functional team to move projects forward with pace.
  • Project management experience: highly organized and detail oriented, with strong time management skills.
