Job Summary:
Kids Kottage Foundation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Volunteer Coordinator/Staff Scheduler to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our programs run smoothly and efficiently by managing volunteer activities and staff schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality support to our programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer files and documents, including records of volunteer hours and statistics.
- Coordinate volunteer activities and events, including scheduling and logistics.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules using scheduling software and tools.
- Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure staffing needs are met and that staff are prepared for volunteer groups.
- Provide support and guidance to volunteers, including training and resources as needed.
- Ensure that all necessary resources and materials are available for volunteer groups and that staff understand details and expectations.
- Participate in community resource events and assist with fundraising events as needed.
- Develop and implement recognition programs to appreciate volunteers' contributions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, volunteer management, or a related field.
- Experience in volunteer coordination and staff scheduling.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Intervention Record Check through Children's Services, both valid within the last 6 months.
- Proof of qualifications (degrees/diplomas/certificates, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Connecteam and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work well under stressful conditions and manage competing priorities.
- Strong management skills, including planning, coordination, supervision, and conflict resolution.
Work Environment:
- Administration Office and Crisis Nursery, serving children ages 0-10.
- This position consists of working 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends for events.
Benefits and Salary Range:
- Comprehensive, competitive, extended health benefits package.
- Salary Range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year.
