Job Summary

The Central Communications Operator is a vital role at Southlake Regional Health Centre, responsible for handling internal and external inquiries related to locating physicians, staff, and patients. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle all internal and external inquiries related to locating physicians, staff, and patients
  • Initiate responses to emergency codes and situations immediately
  • Coordinate the dispatching and coordination of Environmental Services and Transport Services staff
  • Assist with booking of meeting rooms and manage keys/badges for staff sign out
Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • Graduate from a Community College course in 911 and Emergency Services Communications preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year current related experience in a Call Centre environment
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting is an asset
