Meat Cutter and Shop Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter and Shop Assistant to join our team at GARCHA BROS MEAT SHOP & POULTRY. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for sale, as well as providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cutting and preparing meats for sale, including cleaning, trimming, and wrapping.
- Providing exceptional customer service, including answering questions and making recommendations.
- Working in a fast-paced environment, meeting sales targets and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Assisting with inventory management, including receiving and stocking deliveries.
- Participating in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Will train on the job.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
Work Setting:
Our butcher shop is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will work closely with our team to provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
Tasks:
- Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting.
- Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters.
- Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
- Wrap and package prepared meats.
- Remove bones from meat.
- Weigh meats for sale.
- Cut poultry into parts.
- Price meat products.
- Sell meats to customers.
- Grind meats.
- Make special sausages.
- Slice cooked meats.
- Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
- Prepare special orders.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
