About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter and Trainer to join our team at Indian Frootland and Tandoori Grill Meat Shop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meats for sale, as well as training and supervising other butchers and meat cutters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat
- Wrapping and packaging prepared meats
- Removing bones from meat
- Weighing meats for sale
- Selling meats to customers
- Supervising and training other butchers and meat cutters
- Preparing special displays of meats and poultry products
- Shaping, lacing, and tying roasts and other meats
Requirements:
- Experience with power grinders and slicing machines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail
- Hand-eye coordination
Work Environment:
Our meat shop is a fast-paced environment that requires physical stamina and attention to detail. The estimated salary for this role is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
