Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and organized Food Service Team Lead to join our team at Joe's Pizza Stone - Tumbler Ridge. As a Food Service Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, establishing methods to meet work schedules, and ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of employees and customers, providing excellent customer service and support. You will also be responsible for training staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Hire food service staff
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef
  • Establish work schedules

Requirements:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
