Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Protection Specialist to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting radiation surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct radiation surveys and inspections in compliance with ES&H and RP programs
  • Collect and analyze samples for radiation contamination
  • Identify and control spills of hazardous chemicals and nuclear contamination
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans to mitigate radiation hazards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5+ years of experience in radiation protection, with a focus on nuclear industry
  • Strong knowledge of radiation protection principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g. radiation protection, health physics)
  • Professional certifications (e.g. Certified Health Physicist, Certified Radiation Protection Technician)
